About Us
 |
From our offices in
suburban Hinsdale, Illinois, Gnodde
Associates is close enough to see the skyline of
this magnificent city. Chicago is the center of a
diverse and dynamic business, financial and
cultural region. Our goal is to provide both
clients and candidates with high quality
recruitment services that will turn the vast
human and career potential of the region into a
reality. Historically the majority of our
assignments have been in the Chicago area and
have been filled by local candidates. Recently,
however, we have been increasing our regional and
national business, and this trend will
continue.

What A Candidate Can Expect From Gnodde
Associates
Comprehensive, accurate and timely
communication is the key to how we operate.
The decision to make a job change is a serious
one and is often dictated by personal timing
issues. Also, there are many steps in the process
and they can be complex and time consuming. Even
though we hope and expect that the search process
will always be beneficial to our candidates, we
cannot guarantee the outcome. However, we have
found that where good three-way communication
exists between the candidate, Gnodde Associates
and the client, disappointing surprises are kept
to a minimum. Also, in those situations where the
parties are clear on the issues, needs, and
concerns of the others, the likelihood that the
interview process will lead to an accepted job
offer is increased. Good communication increases
the probability that qualified and interested
candidates will find the job that they want.
For Gnodde Associates, good communication
starts when taking a job order from a client.
We make every effort to get input from both the
hiring manager and the human resources
department. In this way we can present a clear
and complete picture to our candidates of the
job, the company, and the compensation package. We
will never knowingly oversell a job or mislead a
candidate. Also, if the search is a long one, or
if changes occur, we will stay on top of the
situation and keep candidates current as best we
can.
Although we are paid by our client company, we
strive to get the best compensation package
reasonably possible for the hired candidate. On
the other hand, compensation is only one of
several important variables that will determine
whether a client and a candidate can reach an
agreement. Clients and candidates have several
areas of need and it is our job to match them as
closely as possible.
An employer wants someone who can fulfill
requirements in five basic areas: 1.
technical knowledge and experience, 2.
communication skills, 3. working well with other
people, 4. commitment to unit and company, and 5.
capacity and desire to grow. For each position
and company, how these factors are defined and
prioritized will differ; however, the first requirement
is almost always prerequisite to the others.
Similarly, we have found that candidates are
looking for job situations that offer the
following: 1. an environment where their
skills and talents will meet with success, 2.
personal and financial recognition and reward, 3.
real opportunity for growth in experiences and
skills development, 4. job and
career security, and 5. the ability to have a
suitable lifestyle. Unlike in the case of the
client where there is a clear number one
priority, the priorities and needs of a candidate
can vary significantly.
Although we strive to make placements that both
the client and the candidate describe as a
"perfect" match, perfection is rarely achieved or
required. Over the years we have made many
successful placements where clients and
candidates have compromised, while not foregoing
their most important requirements. By asking the
right questions and getting accurate and honest
answers, we can help ensure that good hires
result and bad matches are avoided. Although, the
responsibility for decisions ultimately fall
on the client and the candidate, we want to
provide both parties with the pertinent
information required to make good decisions.
Just as we set high standards for our code of
conduct, we expect candidates to treat us and our
clients with the same degree of respect and
honesty. To understand our expectations of our
candidates please review the Working w/ Gnodde Associates
section.
